About

I'm computer shy, flirting with the idea of blogging my new experiences as a young wife who has no idea where to start. We're the proud parents of two awesome Russian Blues. My husband is an extraordinary adrenaline-junky, grease monkey with ADHD that we both embrace.  I'm 27 and have done a complete 180 in health since our wedding day.

It took all my single life to find I have a ton of food allergies and food sensitivities and be struck with  an autoimmune condition almost immediately after we said "I do". Married life has been a hot mess of struggles and giggles. A comedy, both silly and dark. Pushing through full time jobs to pay for bills and car parts for a racing vehicle, time, resources, and energies are scarce. Un-parallel  schedules have us communicating through many post-it notes. Physical limitations due to chronic fatigue and aching body parts require me to forget almost everything I knew, and start from scratch.

A new lifestyle, a new strict diet, a new health care regimen, all with the help of my supportive husband, loving family, rockin friends, and needy felines. It demands no sulking, all if-and-when available muscles, whatever remaining mental clarity, and creativity, to rearrange everything I know about eating, exercising, socializing, going up the stairs, and what I thought would be the simple managing of our little household.

It's going to be an adventure of ups and downs, good days and bad days, dreams and obstacles, real life problems, and the hilarity that ensues when you try to take on a disease, defy it, reverse it, smack it in the face, and get punched back by it in the nose. It's going to be about adjusting, over and outdoing yourself, making kick-a** lemonade from really sour lemons.  And peeing a lot.

I don't pretend to have amazing abilities, a well-documented plan, or any clue how I'm going to tackle these unforeseen events. My intention is to achieve nesting skills with no distinguished outline as of yet. There is a lot of fighting to do amidst a compromised immune system. That's when my delicious husband and pets come in. They will be with me throughout the newlywed identity crisis, living with lupus, holistic healing, novice photographing, and learning gluten-free, nightshade-vegetable-free, everything free, easy recipes, baking kicks, and yoga challenges.  All the while, my one well-defined goal is to never be too tired to wear glowing make-up and always wear heels. Uhm, ix-nay on the heels part.

The average working housewife may or may not relate to such an exhausting daily process; but on a universal level, we all aim to keep a warm home, have a happy family, and to feel  pretty at the end of the day.

You learn to improvise when nothing goes as you expected, you work around it.

Check out my ridiculous story.
